This tall, slender ushabti figurine is crafted in classic Egyptian faience, exhibiting a soft turquoise-green glaze and traces of ancient surface encrustation. Depicted in traditional mummiform stance with arms crossed, the figure clutches agricultural implements, ready to fulfill its sacred duty in the afterlife.
Ushabtis were placed in tombs as servants for the deceased, magically animated to perform labor on their behalf in the Fields of Reeds. The subtle facial features, detailed wig, and residual earthy patina offer a glimpse into its long burial history and authentic antiquity.
